Truly Velvet has an outstanding pedigree packed with Champions. This mare has an excellent conformation, personality, and athletic ability that you need in your foundation broodmare band. This mare is very quiet and cooperative. She will be extremely diverse in what discipline you choose with her and will be a valuable broodmare in the future.

Truly Velvet is a very gentle and trustworthy mare. “Velvet” loves attention and enjoys people. She has the basics, but not started to ride. Velvet is homozygous for the tobiano pattern, by default of her parentage. Velvet does carry one red and one black gene, therefore, she is heterozygous for the black gene, which has been proven by test results.

The foal's dam is a full-sister to 2X AJPHA Reserve World Champion-Heeling.  Shots Flying Sparks is the 1993 APHA Reserve World Champion-Tobiano Color, 1995 APHA Reserve World Champion-Amateur Breakaway Roping.  He has sired 2 APHA World Champions and 6 APHA Reserve World Champions along with many other performers.

We are going with the working cow and reining events with her maternal siblings. A Shot Of Faith’s first foal will start showing in the summer 2009. Brazos Legend is with Tom Neel. Mr. Neel is pictured on the front cover of the May 2009 issue of the Paint Horse Journal. There is an article of him winning the NRCHA championship. In the near future, her third foal will begin reining training.

Truly Velvet has been pasture bred by our stallion, Colored Me Blue. That last breeding date was on April 1, 2009. Colored Me Blue is a Color Me Smart son out of Peptoboonsmal’s full-sister. This is the top of line cutting horses: Smart Little Lena, Peppy San Badger and Royal Blue Boon on this foal’s papers. The foal is guaranteed to be tobiano. You will get a homozygous tobiano or a roan paint.

Truly Velvet is a mare that everyone wants; a minimal marked homozygous. She has a beautiful head, well built and a long, flowing tail. She will definitely be another winner produced out here.
